CLP Community Leadership Program 


Wednesday, July 1 through Tuesday, July 7, 2026

To meet demand, we are offering two sessions during Summer 2026. The sessions have identical educational structures, themes, and goals. 

The session from Wednesday, June 24 – Tuesday, June 30, 2026 is sold out.
 

CLP is a week-long intensive seminar taught by senior faculty of the Shalom Hartman Institute that explores foundational Jewish ideas and central dilemmas of contemporary Jewish life. CLP attracts North American, global Jewish, and Israeli lay leaders and philanthropists who are active in local, national, and international Jewish communal life, who are interested in a week of pluralistic, open-minded, and intellectually rigorous Jewish study.

Registration Fee
The registration fee for each session of 2026 CLP is $3,250.

Your registration fee includes all educational materials, seminar programming, morning snacks, daily lunches and most dinners, Shabbat meals, evening lectures, cultural activities, and an excursion with field trip options throughout Israel.

Hartman Giving Society Waiver: 

 

Beginning January, 2026, there will be a new policy for Hartman Giving Society waivers. Donors to the Shalom Hartman Institute who make a minimum gift of $36,000 or more will receive two complimentary registrations for CLP: one for the donor and one for an additional participant. Donors to the Shalom Hartman Institute who make a minimum gift of $10,000 or more will receive one complimentary registration for CLP 2026.

Note that registration fees are not tax deductible, but tax receipts will be provided for all donations above and beyond the registration fee.
