CLP is a week-long intensive seminar taught by senior faculty of the Shalom Hartman Institute that explores foundational Jewish ideas and central dilemmas of contemporary Jewish life. CLP attracts North American and Israeli communal lay leaders and philanthropists who are active in local, national, and international Jewish communal life, who are interested in a week of pluralistic, open-minded, and intellectually rigorous Jewish study.

If you are a Jewish clergy member, we invite you to join us at our Rabbinic Torah Study Seminar. Please register for the Rabbinic seminar here.

Registration Fee
The registration fee for the 2024 CLP  is $2,500/ $3,375 CAD/ ₪ 9,525 per person.

Your registration fee includes all educational materials, seminar programming, morning snacks, daily lunches and most dinners, Shabbat meals, evening lectures, cultural activities, and one full-day excursion with field trip options throughout Israel.

Hartman Giving Society Waiver: Donors to the Shalom Hartman Institute who make a minimum  gift or pledge of $10,000 and above between June 1, 2023-May 31, 2024 receive two complimentary registrations for CLP 2024 for the donor plus an additional participant.

Please note that all pledges must be fulfilled by May 2024.
