CLP Community Leadership Program

CLP is a week-long intensive seminar taught by senior faculty of the Shalom Hartman Institute that explores foundational Jewish ideas and central dilemmas of contemporary Jewish life. CLP attracts North American, global Jewish, and Israeli communal lay leaders and philanthropists who are active in local, national, and international Jewish communal life, who are interested in a week of pluralistic, open-minded, and intellectually rigorous Jewish study.

If you are a Jewish clergy member, we invite you to join us at our Rabbinic Torah Study Seminar. Please register for the Rabbinic seminar here.

Registration Fee
The registration fee for the 2025 CLP  is $2,750/ $3,820 CAD 10,300 per person.

Your registration fee includes all educational materials, seminar programming, morning snacks, daily lunches and most dinners, Shabbat meals, evening lectures, cultural activities, and one full-day excursion with field trip options throughout Israel.

Hartman Giving Society Waiver: Donors to the Shalom Hartman Institute who make a minimum gift or pledge of $10,000 and above between June 1, 2024-May 31, 2025 receive two complimentary registrations for CLP 2025, one registration for the donor, plus an additional participant.

Please note that all pledges must be fulfilled by May 2025.

Checks should be made out to the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America, and should indicate "CLP 2025 registration fee."
To secure your place in the program, payment must be received within 30 days of registration.
