We invite you to apply for Hartman’s signature rabbinic student seminar in Israel, bringing together a pluralistic cohort of exceptional and diverse North American rabbinic students for weekly dinner, seminar and dialogue with co-directors Rabbi Shoshana Cohen and Dr. Melila Hellner-Eshed and other senior Hartman faculty. In an intimate beit midrash of rabbinic fellows we will process our year in Israel and address the challenges facing future rabbis. Seminars will include classical and contemporary, poetic and mystical texts on topics like:
- Jewish peoplehood and solidarity
- Power & Vulnerability
- Love and Critique
- The Path of Rabbinic Leadership
- Foundations of Jewish Identity
Weekly dinner, one Shabbat dinner, and Shabbaton included.
